At what age should one start using anti-aging products?

by admin on March 22, 2010

So i am only 15, and obviously i know i am not going to start using like heavy duty anti-aging stuff. But should i start using products like moisturizers and cremes that have anti-aging, and anti premature aging ingredients in them? Can you recommend any night cremes or serums?

to be honest i clicked just cuz i saw your pic and yeah you’re really young, i would think around the late 30′s is when you start the “aging” process and the effects start to show, depressing, well by then its too late but you can’t really prevent aging and i dont know if ANY of the products really work. the good news is that if you start trying stuff out now, maybe you’ll find something in time.. or they’ll make something. i really wouldn’t worry about it, i’ve got 5 years on you just find someone who is around your age and will love you forever AND age with you ;)
ps. you’re really beautiful so enjoy that while it lasts! ahhh depressing again.. but really you’ve got some time :)

I’ve heard on the Tyra Banks show that we should start using anti-aging products come our early thirties/later twenties (28ish). Just keep moisturizing, use sunscreen and you should be fine. I stress the use of sunscreen because any sun damage will show later on. such as the dreaded wrinkles. In any case, don’t worry so much.

As for the first comment, is there a way to get these racists off of Answers? If anyone’s reviewing these at Yahoo, can’t we give that person the boot? Says a lot that they couldn’t even spell the racial slur they were using. Sorry you had to read that JAZZY, very unfair.

I have had skin problems and use moisturizers and lotions from the company Kiehl’s. You can order it online. It’s very good, but it’s REALLY expensive unfortunately. When it comes to these products though, I do feel like you get what you pay for. Also, very little Kiehl’s goes a long way as opposed to the cheaper products which require so much to get any result.

you should moisturize, but anti-aging products are really heavy and supposedly can do more harm than good on young skin.
Stick to regular moisturizers, but wait until at least your late twenties to start using anti-aging creams.

The aging process starts since the time you get exposed to sun. So, to prevent aging, use sunscreen religiously. You can get into the anti-aging product line depending on your skin condition when you enter your twenties. Do not think about it now. Just take care of your skin well by getting good nutrition and drinking lots of water.
