I saw both bands one after the other at Hellfest last year. It was mad. Watching Brian riff it up in EHG then walk across the festival ground carrying his amp and guitar then plonk it on stage for these guys. They were both awesome live too.
now if you want to say eyehategod sounds like soilent i will definitely agree with you since brian (the guitar player) writes for both bands… eyehategod is more like a way slower soilent green … there sir is your common ground on their musical similarity
Goatwhore is black metal with a few hints of death metal and punk… Soilent green has jazz, blues, thrash, and death metal influenced music… and no black metal at all… thats like saying soundgarden sounds like ozzy because they are both rock… dude come the fuck on!!!
Sorry, but I disagree with you. It’s similar in many ways. Groovy guitars, occasional blastbeats (Yes, Goatwhore uses em more) ect.
There’s obviously distinctions, but they aren’t all that different either.

Well yea he sings in Goawhore too…Which I actually like Goatwhore’s kinda black and thrash metal feel they got. Mixes real good, makes for some killer metal.
