PRODUCT REVIEW – Eucerin Anti-Age Hyaluron-Filler Day Cream SPF 15 and Night Cream

by admin on March 18, 2010

Hey everyone So I had done a video on Bliss’ Daily Detoxifying toner which I had meant to post before this one. But I can’t find it in my folders! That’s why I reference back to ‘my previous video’ as I was talking about hyaluronic/hyaluronate properties in skincare which help bind moisture to the skin. I will definitely redo the Bliss toner review in the near future. So I am posting this video as it is timely I think as the cold snap is starting again, and ths weekend will be ffrrrrrreeeezing! I also reference in this vid that this product of course has the buzzwords ‘anti-age’ and ‘wrinkle reduction’ in the product description. It’s not why I wanted to try the products, I wanted to more for their hyaluronic properties to help retain moisture in my skin and protect against the dryness and coldness. My skin was screaming for something richer than I had in my cabinet. It wasn’t my intention to say so confidently that I don’t have wrinkles in the vid! I just meant that I couldn’t review the products for their wrinkle fighting properties when I was looking more for it to help help with the dryness and cold. I really do rate the night time cream – in fact I look forward to putting it on to calm and soothe my face at the end of the day. What are your thoughts? For those of you in colder climates, how are you coping with your winter skincare?

thanks for the tips/ideas!
I’m using the Olay Total Effects 7 for sensitive skin, but it seems to actually break me out (I can’t figure out what else it could be), and it’s pretty frustrating because it says for sensitive skin, but it seems like my skin is just like “eff that, I want to be wrinkly and dry!” I just wish there was a way to know how products will really interact with our skin before we use them -the “on the arm” test doesn’t really help much because we don’t breakout on wrist :P

…meant to say that I don’t know for sure if the Olay moisturiser range has hyaluronic acid in it – jsut recommended Olay as I think their range has some decent moisturisers and are cheaper (I’ve actually done a vid review on some of their products)

Hi there
Thanks so much for your comments! I’m afraid the only other product which I have seen at the drugstore with the hyaluronic acid in it is Roc Wrinkle Correction line – but it’s not that much cheaper than the Eucerin : ( It is a good investment, but I do think you have to purchase items according to your own sense of budget – no point purchasing if it’s not in your budget. Maybe try and Olay moisturiser which wld be cheaper if you are looking for that. hth.

I really enjoyed your review, and the honest/funny reasons that helped convince you to try this brand ^^ (that poor man!)
I’ve been looking for skin products with hyaluronic acid because it is supposed to be the BEST thing for the face, but everything is so expensive. I’ve looked up these products, but they are generally $50 and up – do you know a better place to look for a cheaper price? or should we just accept it to be that big of an investment?
(love your eye-makeup btw, and I’m subbing)

I can’t think of any requests right now-I have been very interested in the Korres products, but you’ve already done videos on those. I live within 30 minutes of New York City, and went to the Korres store. I have the wild rose foundation, lip butters, a couple of lip glosses, and I’m definitely going to get a couple of the blushes soon, especially the natural color. Thanks again, Annette

…hmmmm not sure. It’s a new product that appeared last autumn/winter here.

The ‘chest’ is actually a Chinese screen – that folds up. I love it too – thanks ; D

Just got to this message…in brief, it is cold in the UK, snowing in places so bring warm clothes! The trick is to layer, long sleeve jersey top with cardigan and thick coat. If you’re not from the UK check out Superdrug, Boots, Selfridges dept stores. Manchester has lost of great shopping so walk around!

Thanks for this review…it was very helpful!

I was wondering…you mentioned that you are steering away from primers. Do you still recommend the Sofina Lucent for a sunblock and primer? Thanks, Annette

Thanks for the review. You’ve stoked my curiosity about these products. I have verrrry dry, sensitive skin which reacts to most things I put on it :-(

Thanks for this review. I wonder if this is available in the states. I haven’t seen them. I use Eucerin’s Sensative Skin with SPF some mornings. Also, love the laquered chest behind you.

Great video, I was wondering about this product, now I know it’s worth buying.
I am sorry to say, but the quality of the video is in my opinion worse since you changed your camera, you appear blurred, maybe you have to change settings.
Cheers,
Sylwia

great review! wow those are pricey but they look rich and comforting, especially that night cream. i love those buzzwords (anti age and wrinkle reducing)…hey why not :) thanks for mentionning the scent in there – i was going to ask you. i’ve been using the clinique superdefense day and night (love the night) and the dramatically different moisturizer on a daily basis. but i hate the smell of the dramatically diff moisturizer..so clinical and carboardy. thanks again – great review!
